Vocational Service Project (A DIGITAL LITERACY & CERTIFICATION PILOT)
Recent study indicates that out of 4 Million graduates India produces, only 25%
are readily employable. This means there is a major gap between the skills
required for jobs and the skill base of a large number of job-seekers. However,
the recent boom in IT services has also made it possible for students to find
employment and continue their studies. To alleviate this problem, RI Dist. 3010
is launching a pilot that will provide Comprehensive Computer Literacy clubbed
with Microsoft Office Specialist Certification for school students especially
from the weaker section of the society. This pilot is aimed at doing the
following:
?
Alleviating the problem of skill shortage,
? And, providing employability to students
from weaker section of society
